About a week ago, I placed a rather large order with Satechi (the global site, as the Swedish retailer lacks many new products). One of the main reasons (apart from their Labor Day sale) was that I saw Satechi had released a product they call OntheGo USB-C lanyard .

It is, in short, a phone leash. Or a way to keep your phone close at hand even if you don't have a bag or pockets available.

It might not sound that exciting, but what makes Satechi's version unique is that it has a USB-C to USB-C cable woven into the entire strap. This way, you automatically have an approximately 1.5m long charging cable with you at all times for your iPhone, Android phone, or computer. The cable can charge up to 60W and transfer data at speeds up to 480Mbps. More than enough for most everyday needs, in other words.

Personally, I think the solution is really sleek and well executed by Satechi. The entire product is well made and exudes quality. Especially with the aluminum tips covering the USB-C parts. Even though I usually don't need (or want) to wear my phone around my neck, I will definitely test it going forward. At worst, as a lanyard or key strap.
